Sea Otter Opening Mussels
Moss Landing, CA: A sea otter bashes large mussels against rocks near the shore to open them. Even if you didn't see the sea otter, you would know he was there from the loud sound that came from a mussel hitting a rock. Sea otter sometimes use their teeth to open the mussels. Sea otters also dine on crabs (and more crabs).
